If your long-term medication has been approved on a repeat prescription basis you can place orders in the following ways:
- In person - hand your repeat slip in to reception having clearly marked the items required.
- By post - send it to us with a stamped addressed envelope if you want us to post it back to you.
- Online - Via the links below:
- Electronic Prescription Service -You can nominate a particular pharmacy to allow your prescription to go electronically without the need for visiting the surgery.
It is possible to organise REPEAT DISPENSING for many medications. This means that if you have regular medication which is unlikely to change, we will be able to organise a number of prescriptions to be sent to a pharmacy of your choice. You will need to make only one visit to the surgery in order for the reception team to be able to organise this for you. You will then be able to attend the pharmacy monthly to pick up your medication. We are able in certain circumstances to give up to one year's worth of prescriptions to the pharmacy. Your medication review must be up to date and your medicines on repeat prescription.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
